- Emcee/activist Elsie Law & Brown Eyez Mag's own Camilliyan also came through to represent for Women's History Month and spoke about serious matters such as the Rihanna & Chris Brown's recent altercation and how it reflects are greater reality in the Black/Brown community regarding love and abuse.

Chillin with a BLK GRL!!!
On this edition of Rise Up Radio:
- We celebrate Women's History Month with Tanya Fields, activist, entrepreneur, and founder of BLK GRL Inc!

- BLK GRL INC is an online magazine dedicated to the empowerment and unification of people of all races, especially women. The accompanying blog, Brown Girl Swagger, covers issues such as the racial divide in Washington Heights, to the never ending good hair/bad hair conflict, as well as Black representation in pop culture.
- As an Environmental Justice fighter, Ms. Fields breaks down and traces the direct correlation between asthma in children of low income communities to their futures as adults in the Prison Industrial Complex.

Fresh Music, Fresh Convo with Conscious, L.C, & Rebel Diaz
On this edition of Rise Up Radio:
- We kicked it with NYC personality Conscious, MC L.C. & Rebel Diaz all repping Hip Hop &
the Bronx. Conscious broke 2 new songs titled "Neck on Froze" & "Puter Girl (B.A.N.I.)". He detailed the process in making new types of Rap music and the perfection of opportunity when the mainstream is saturated with the same sounds.
- L.C. broke 2 new records as well titled "Are You There", which touches on the topic of children missing their fathers in their lives and "Never Done." He also vented on the difference of Hip Hop culture's MCs and the gimmicks of the Hip Hop industry's MCs.
- Rebel Diaz also broke 2 new records one titled, "Democracy" by the Rebel Diaz Arts Collective (RDAC) and a solo joint from Lah Tere titled, "The Crush". They discussed the details of Rod Starz' current court trial, gentrification, police brutality and the importance of being involved in the Hip Hop movement.
