Theme Song Contest
Rise Up Radio is looking for a new theme song — a soundtrack for youth culture and resistance. We've launched a contest where you submit the songs, and you choose the winner! The music can be original, a remix or mashup and whatever genre.Over the next month, we'll be accepting song submissions by email to
speakup@riseupradio.org and snail-mail: Rise Up Radio c/o WBAI-NY, 120 Wall St. 10th fl, New York, NY 10005. If you're emailing us, attach an mp3 file or include a link if it's online already. Snail-mailers should send us a CD or mini-disc but please, keep your master and send us a copy you don't need back.
In March, we'll narrow it down to our top 3 picks and y'all can vote your fave by phone or via our website. The winner's song will be played over the next year with credit of course and props to your website, myspace page, etc.
Let the games begin... and send your questions, comments to
speakup@riseupradio.org
